Tucson...Mt Lemmon

I haven't updated the blog for awhile so I thought I would bring everyone up to date.

We spent the holidays in Pahrump, NV.  The weather was a bit cool....maybe even cold at times.  We had time to spend with friends and relax.

Headed out towards Tucson the first part of January.  Had a stop in Quartzsite to enjoy the RV tent show, visit with friends and people watch for a couple of weeks.

Next stop is Tucson, which is where we are now. We are enjoying the mild temps and retirement. We are here until the end of March taking care of some business and doing some site seeing.  We got off to a slow start with site seeing as Robin came down with a cold and she started feeling better and I screwed up my knee.  We are better now.

We did manage to take a road trip to Tombstone and Mt Lemmon Scenic Byway.  Tombstone is a better typical tourist town, but a nice day trip and worth the trip if you are in the area.

Today I will be posting pictures and the day trip to Mt Lemmon.
We start from about 2000 ft and end up at about 9000 ft.  all this in about 25 miles.  We started out in the Tucson desert and end up in the forest and ski area.  Beautiful drive, lots of areas to pull over and take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

To early for desert blooms yet, but we did see a couple of early blooming.  Hope to get back up there before we leave to see more blooms.

The higher we got the more the scenery changed to forest and ending in snow.

It was a delightful day, we stopped at the top and cruised the General Store and made a purchase of some homemade fudge and a sticker to add to our collection.
That should pretty much bring everyone up to date.  I have added a link to more pictures, hope you enjoy them.
