The first few days here the weather has been perfect. Mid to upper 70's and beautiful blue skies. Medora is a cute little tourist town. Gift shops, cafes and something they are noted for " The Medora Musical". They put on a different musical every year and is pretty well known. Of course we didn't know anything about until we got here. We toyed with whether or not we wanted to go and finally decided that we couldn't spend time here and not go. So Robin went down to the office and got a package for the Theodore Roosevelt Salute to Medora, Pitch Fork Fondue and the Medora Musical.
Glad we did, the Salute was good and Fondue was okay and the Musical was great. I recommend stopping here a couple of days for anyone coming though the area. It is right off of I94.
The Fondue was strip steaks skewered with pitch forks and deep fried.
Interesting concept but the steak could have used seasoning. It was served cowboy style with baked beans, coleslaw, baked potato, and veggies. brownies and cinnamon baby donuts for desert.
The view was awesome.
The Musical was across the parking lot and view behind the stage was also awesome.
Great show and would definitely go again if we are through the area.
TRNP was interesting and we really enjoyed the south side better then the north side but both were enjoyable.
The south side had a few wild animals and the landscape was different than the north side. The North entrance was further down the freeway about 50 miles.
South side.
North side
So...we have been very happy with our decision to stop here for a week. We will be heading out in a couple of days for Minnesota.
